Lazy Lethargic (lack of)-Labor Day

Anyone else have a super rainy and super lazy Labor Day?

I originally had plans of Kayaking or even cycling but the weather said NO! I will rain on your parade. But I guess I can say I did enjoy another full day of laziness! This weekend was definitely not as active as I had planned, but I guess I can get back to it this week!

Since Michael got home around 7:30 am this morning I ended up quietly laying around the house watching Brothers and Sisters on Netflix until I woke him up at 1:30 and then we watched THREE, count em' , three episodes of Mad Men. That totals a LOT of television shows for me today, and we don't even have cable!

This evening I did something that I have never done before. I went to the movies by myself. I have been wanting to see "The Help" for a while now and I know a lot of people had seen it already and people were busy doing their holiday stuff so I went it alone plus by this time in the day I needed to get out of the house. It was kind of exciting to me. My dad asked if it was awkward. Not in the least, it's not like you talk to anyone while you are at the theaters anyway. I mean they always play that little video before the movie telling you to silence your cell phone and stop talking, so it was me and my little bag of popcorn this evening.

The movie was great. It is definitely something I would recommend!

Well that's about it for today, not much to report since I hardly even moved today! I'm kinda sad I won't be seeing Michael again until Friday or Saturday. I will be out of town ALL week in Illinois while he is working his long shifts at the hospital. Sad day. I will miss seeing my handsome hubs! :( Well with that, I should probably get packing since I have an early wake up call of about 5 AM. Hope you all had a labor-less holiday!

Questions:

Have you ever gone to the movies alone before?

What did you do to celebrate the long weekend?

  1. Yes! I love going to movies alone actually! Not like every movie, but sometimes it is exactly what I need. I should go see The Help by myself too, because I have no one to go with either.

We were very, very lazy this weekend. It was awesome haha
